The fastest growing
ethnic group in our church neighborhood is Spanish
speaking. We offer a number of activities to provide
spiritual care to those whose primary language is
Spanish. On Sunday mornings we have a Spanish
language Bible study at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall.
The 10:30 am service is periodically translated
through Spanish language hearing devices. Many of
our educational and worship materials are available
in Spanish. Our Spanish speaking members
occasionally sing at our services as well.
Classes are offered
weekly for learning English at our "English as
Second Language" classes. We offer a small
group fellowship which meets weekly for food and
educational opportunities. This outreach to the
Hispanic community is coordinated by Mr. Ignacio
Perez, who is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Many Spanish speaking
children are served in our children's programs which
meet during the week as well as on Sunday.
