MIDWEEK PRESCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAM:
Tuesdays 6:00PM-7:15PM
Zion offers a mid-week Christian education program for preschool children ages 3-5. The children will learn simple Bible stories and about God's love for them. Parents are invited to the "School of Life" program that meets at the same time in the church library. The nursery is open to infants and children younger than 3. The class is free, but donations are accepted to help defray expenses. Enroll by calling the church office, 964-4609.

ZION GIRLS:
Mondays 6:00PM-7:00PM
This is for girls in first grade and above. The Zion Girls do special service projects for Zion's shut-ins, the Lawson Children's home, VA Hospitals, the Zion After-school tutoring program and themselves. Sometimes we: "Bake & Sometimes They Make" We also go on neat field trips.

PARENT AND GRANDPARENT SUPPORT GROUP:
Tuesdays 12:30PM-2:00PM
All parents and grandparents are WELCOME to attend! This is for parents and grandparents who are either raising children or grandchildren on their own, or go to school, or need some extra help in today's complex world. The group meets every Tuesday. (Free childcare is provided in the church nursery). Special activities are also offered. The group is for parent and grandparents that are experiencing the stress of raising children in today's difficult times. We also have great treats! Education forums provided by the Parents Again Coalition. For more Information contact Jeanne Thomas.

Wednesdays
Patriot's Gateway and Zion Children's Ministry team-up to provide a variety of children's activities for children 6 years old through 6th grade. Older children 7th through 12th grade may sign-up to help as junior leaders in an assigned area if they see Jeanne Thomas.

5th-7th grade learn about puppets and put on shows during supper hour.

6:00PM-7:00PM - Zion
"Pastor Bitner & Friends" join us each week for music, skits, puppets and videos. Student and parent volunteers are always Welcome to help. 7th grade & above help with serving the supper.
bulletPATRIOTS' GATEWAY:
Patriots' Gateway Center is open with special activities designed for all ages. This is for children with Gateway membership only. Wednesday evenings the center is open for children 1st through 6th grade until 6:10PM when everyone is Invited to Zion for supper & programs. At 7:00PM the center is open to older children with Gateway memberships.

ZION AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING PROGRAM:
M-T-Th-F - 3:00PM-5:00PM
Zion is working with the Rockford School District to provide tutoring in reading, math and homework. If your is in K-5 and needs assistance, please see Jeanne Thomas.

CHILDREN'S SEWING CLASS:
3rd Saturday of the month - 9:30AM-Noon
Children learn the basics in sewing, how to make a pattern, thread a needle and to make simple items they can use.

4th Thursday of the month - 6:00-8:OOPM at Zion. Jeanne Thomas facilitates the group.
